Kongsberg wins about NOK 11.5 billion in air defence contracts as Belgium orders NASAMS and the Netherlands adds NOMADS systems

Kongsberg received two European air-defense awards worth about NOK 11.5 billion in total, led by a roughly NOK 10 billion NASAMS procurement for Belgium that the Netherlands is administering. A second Dutch order, valued near NOK 1.5 billion, adds NOMADS mobile systems and expands existing NASAMS capacity. The contracts deepen commonality between the two allies while giving Belgium medium-range protection and the Netherlands more deployable short-range defense against aircraft, missiles, and drones. Shared systems should also simplify training, maintenance, missile stocks, and cross-border reinforcement during a regional air-defense emergency.
