Korean Air launches free Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi

Korean Air is introducing free Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi, using SpaceX’s low-Earth-orbit satellite network to provide broadband connectivity on equipped aircraft. The airline says the service will be offered without a passenger charge, removing the paid tiers commonly used for onboard internet. Starlink’s dense satellite architecture is intended to support lower latency and more consistent bandwidth than legacy geostationary links, including over oceanic routes. The rollout adds Korean Air to a growing group of carriers adopting LEO connectivity, although fleet coverage and activation timing will depend on aircraft modifications and regulatory approvals.
