L3Harris lands Trident flight test support deal
L3Harris Interstate Electronics has received a $46.85 million U.S. contract to provide services and support for flight-test instrumentation systems used with the Trident II Strategic Weapon System, with options that could raise the value to about $207.1 million. The contracting activity is U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs, and the work will be performed mainly in the United States through September 2031. A small share of the work will take place in Barrow-in-Furness, reflecting the Trident system's links to the United Kingdom's Dreadnought submarine programme.
