Last operational HH-60G Pave Hawk completes final flight

The US Air Force’s last operational HH-60G Pave Hawk, tail number 27045, completed its final flight with the California Air National Guard’s 129th Rescue Wing at Moffett Field on September 10, 2026. Converted from a US Army UH-60L, the aircraft supported combat search and rescue as well as domestic disaster response. The wing credits its HH-60G operations with more than 300 combat saves during deployments to Afghanistan and significant relief missions after major hurricanes. The retirement closes a long service chapter as the unit transitions to the newer HH-60W Jolly Green II.
