Leonardo, Alkeon seek to establish Danish production of 76 mm Super Rapid naval gun

Leonardo and Danish industrial development company Alkeon signed a memorandum to explore local assembly and production of the 76/62 mm Super Rapid naval gun in Denmark. The framework would develop industrial capability supporting Danish defense programs and potential opportunities in neighboring markets, including participation by domestic suppliers. Denmark already operates Super Rapid mounts on several surface-ship classes, while Leonardo's principal naval-gun production and integration activities remain centered in La Spezia, Italy. The agreement is preliminary industrial positioning ahead of future fleet decisions, with any Danish production line dependent on program volumes and conditions rather than a confirmed manufacturing investment or gun order.
