Leonardo DRS Plans Tactical Radar Production In The UK

Leonardo DRS established DRS UK and launched local tactical radar manufacturing on October 5 to support British defense customers and European demand. A purpose-built production site provides an in-country manufacturing and support capability for radars used in counter-drone defense, air defense, force protection and active protection systems. The sensor portfolio detects, tracks and classifies airborne and ground threats, including unmanned aircraft and rockets, artillery and mortars. The announcement concerns an industrial expansion and dedicated local subsidiary, with no specific new customer order, annual production rate or contract value disclosed.
