Lithuania leads Baltic states with about €2 billion in U.S. arms purchases and seeks closer ties with Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman

Lithuania has accumulated approximately €2 billion in U.S. arms purchases, leading the Baltic states in American defense procurement, and is actively seeking to deepen industrial partnerships with Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. The procurement portfolio reflects Lithuania's accelerated defense buildup in response to the regional security environment and its growing integration into U.S.-supplied weapons ecosystems. Closer ties with the two major U.S. primes are intended to improve sustainment, technology transfer and local industrial participation over the long term.
