Lockheed Martin to advance Australia's JABMS under follow-on contract

Australia awarded Lockheed Martin a six-year AUD1.32 billion contract, approximately USD952.5 million, to advance the Joint Air Battle Management System under AIR 6500. The work expands the command-and-control architecture, communications and cyber protection used to connect sensors and weapons including F-35As, Hobart-class destroyers and medium-range ground-based air defence. The award follows the initial AUD500 million design-and-build contract signed in 2024 and forms part of a broader Australian investment of about AUD2.4 billion in integrated air and missile defence.
