Lockheed Martin Wins $1.2B PrSM Increment 2 Contract Following Second Maritime Test

Lockheed Martin received a $1.2 billion indefinite-delivery contract covering initial procurement, future orders and continued development of the U.S. Army's Precision Strike Missile Increment 2. The award followed a flight campaign that validated the missile against moving maritime and relocatable land targets using a terminal seeker combining imaging infrared and passive radio-frequency sensing. Designed for launch from HIMARS and M270 systems, Increment 2 adds a maritime-strike mission to the PrSM family and moves the configuration toward production after its second reported test against a vessel target.
