Long-endurance U.S. spy drone spotted flying from Jordan base

Open-source flight tracking showed a Platform Aerospace MQ-22 Swift, also marketed as Vanilla, departing Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan on September 13. The aircraft, registration N622VU, was identified by an independent monitoring account, while neither its operator nor the purpose of the sortie was officially confirmed. Platform Aerospace designs the rail-launched Group 3 system for extreme endurance, with payload configurations ranging from 150 pounds on shorter missions to lighter sensors for much longer flights. The company claims a 2021 endurance record of eight days and 50 minutes, while the U.S. Navy has funded aircraft and support.
