Marine Alutech wins €25.2 million Finnish Navy order for 18 Jurmo-NG troop boats to strengthen mobility in the archipelago

Marine Alutech won a €25.2 million Finnish Navy contract for 18 Watercat M12 Jurmo-NG troop-transport boats, with deliveries scheduled from 2027 through 2029. Each approximately 14-meter craft is designed for a two-person crew, carries a 12.7 mm weapon and can reach about 30 knots. The shallow-draft design is tailored to moving personnel and equipment among Finland’s coastal islands. The purchase renews a proven boat class while improving the Navy’s ability to disperse, reinforce and sustain forces across the archipelago under severe, contested Baltic operating conditions.
