MBDA Successfully Validates New Teseo Mk2/E Anti-Ship Missile for Italian Navy

MBDA has completed a guided validation firing of the Teseo Mk2/E anti-ship missile for the Italian Navy, including a roughly 20-minute controlled and closely monitored test flight. The new weapon incorporates an active electronically scanned array radio-frequency seeker and satellite communications for in-flight control, supporting precision engagements against ships and land targets. A production contract was signed in 2025 and first delivery is planned for 2028, with integration intended across PPA patrol ships, DDX destroyers, FREMM and future FREMM EVO frigates, and Horizon-class vessels.
