NATO brings U.S. B-1B Lancer bomber into Baltic training to test new air defence framework alongside Allied fighters and ground assets
NATO has integrated a U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer strategic bomber into Baltic region training for the first time as part of exercises testing a new alliance air defense framework. The drill involved allied fighters and ground-based air defense assets working alongside the B-1B to validate joint procedures for detecting, tracking and engaging complex aerial threats. The inclusion of the B-1B represents an expansion of the scenarios and platforms used to stress-test NATO's evolving integrated air and missile defense architecture in the Baltic region.
