NATO snubs Boeing, picks Saab to build alliance's next radar plane

NATO selected Saab's GlobalEye over Boeing's E-7 Wedgetail to replace the alliance's aging E-3 AWACS fleet. Up to 10 aircraft will be procured. The decision marks a significant European industrial win and reflects strategic autonomy priorities. Deliveries will bolster airborne early warning across the alliance.
