New B-21 hangar heads to Missouri’s Whiteman Air Force Base
The US Air Force awarded a $74.8 million project for a radio-frequency and measurements hangar at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. The facility will contain one B-21 aircraft position plus maintenance, test and support spaces needed for low-observable and electronic-signature work. Whiteman is planned as the B-21's second main operating base after Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, and the construction contract is scheduled for completion by September 25, 2029.
