Nitradyn secures $581 million U.S. contract for Kentucky explosives campus with 8 million-pound annual IMX-104 capacity by 2030

Nitradyn received a $581 million U.S. Department of War contract to design, build and commission an IMX-104 explosives plant in Graham, Kentucky, before the end of 2030. The facility is planned to produce about 8 million pounds of IMX-104 annually and will manufacture its RDX, NTO and DNAN constituents on site, along with HMX. It will share a campus with a U.S. Army TNT plant and retain spare capacity for other energetic formulations. The award expands domestic production of insensitive munitions explosives and represents a major industrial project for Nitradyn, a company established in 2025.
