Northrop Grumman: E-2D talks with Poland still ongoing

Northrop Grumman confirmed on September 10 that discussions with Poland about the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye continue, covering possible acquisition, training, and industrial cooperation. The company has promoted the aircraft at Poland’s MSPO exhibition for four years and signed related memorandums with Exence in 2024 and Military Aviation Works No. 2 in 2025. Equipped with the AN/APY-9 radar, the E-2D is designed to maintain 360-degree surveillance of more than 3,000 air and surface tracks and could connect with Poland’s IBCS network. Poland has issued no solicitation or purchase decision and currently operates two second-hand Saab 340 Erieye aircraft as a stopgap.
