Northrop Grumman pushing ahead with smaller Integrated Battle Command System

Northrop Grumman is developing a smaller, more mobile version of the Integrated Battle Command System alongside continued upgrades to the original platform. IBCS is already in Polish service and is being introduced by United States forces to connect otherwise separate sensors and air-defense weapons into a shared command network. A reduced-footprint configuration could make the architecture easier to deploy with maneuver units or in dispersed locations. The work remains an ongoing development effort, and no customer, production quantity, contract value or fielding timetable was disclosed for the compact variant.
