Northrop Grumman says new Utah factory will accelerate B-21 Raider production, with East Gate capacity for 1,500 workers by 2032

Northrop Grumman began operations at its new East Gate 3 manufacturing facility in Layton, Utah, on September 9 after completing the project ahead of schedule. The wider East Gate campus will encompass about 845,000 square feet and provide capacity for as many as 1,500 employees by 2032, supporting increased B-21 Raider production and other next-generation aircraft work. East Gate 3 raises the company's combined Layton and Clearfield footprint above two million square feet, concentrating aircraft manufacturing and composite-structure capabilities in northern Utah. The company did not disclose the plant's cost, component output or a revised annual B-21 production rate.
