Northrop Grumman has stated that its solid rocket motor production capacity will reach 25,000 units per year by 2029, a figure intended to meet accelerating US and allied demand for missiles, interceptors and munitions. The expansion addresses a widely acknowledged munitions production bottleneck that has become a strategic concern following consumption rates observed in the Ukraine conflict and rising Indo-Pacific deterrence requirements. The company said the ramp-up requires significant investment in manufacturing infrastructure across its facilities.
