Northrop Grumman Wins $111 Million Submarine Contract

Northrop Grumman received a $111.4 million United States Navy contract for maintenance, overhaul and repair of ship-service turbine generators used on Virginia-class attack submarines. The agreement also funds long-lead materials needed to sustain future work and reduce delays in the repair pipeline. Structured as a firm-fixed-price and cost-only indefinite-delivery contract, it could reach about $253.3 million if all options are exercised. The award supports submarine availability by maintaining the electrical-generation equipment that powers onboard systems during lengthy operational deployments, rather than procuring new submarines or complete propulsion plants.
