Norwegian Kongsberg to Build Counter-Drone Factory in Poland for 18 SAN Batteries

Kongsberg will establish a manufacturing and sustainment plant in Poland for counter-drone systems supporting the SAN programme, the company announced on October 13, 2026. The facility will be located in Pomerania near the Trójmiasto area, with investment exceeding 200 million zlotys and more than 100 long-term jobs expected at full capacity. Kongsberg plans to conclude the construction contract by year-end, begin work immediately afterwards and start serial production in the first half of 2028. The plant supports the Kongsberg-PGZ programme for 18 Polish counter-drone batteries and will form part of the company's wider manufacturing network serving future European customers.
