OSK Design Unveils Coastal Corvette Concept to Fill Danish Fleet Gap

OSK Design unveiled a 95-metre Coastal Corvette concept intended to address a perceived gap in Denmark's future fleet. The design combines a compact hull with substantial weapons, sensors, and modular mission capacity for operations in the Baltic, North Sea, and nearby waters. A smaller combatant could provide distributed patrol, escort, and sea-denial capability at lower cost than a frigate while retaining meaningful lethality. The vessel remains a design proposal rather than an approved acquisition, so displacement, systems, crew, price, and construction schedule could change if Denmark develops formal requirements.
