Pakistan's HIT details tank production
Pakistan's Heavy Industries Taxila said at ADEX 2026 that it had produced more than 100 Haider main battle tanks and could manufacture approximately 50 annually. Haider is a locally built derivative of China's VT4, retaining a three-person crew, 53-tonne configuration, 1,200-horsepower engine and 125-millimetre smoothbore gun. The exhibition model carried the locally developed Zarb remote weapon station, while HIT estimated domestic content at 60–65% without specifying the component breakdown. The production update concerns an established manufacturing line and accumulated output, rather than a newly announced Pakistani tank order.
