Palantir to fund Ukrainian interceptor UAV company targeting Russia's Geran-5

Palantir will be the first investor in a new Ukrainian defence-technology company developing interceptor drones against jet-powered Russian attack UAVs, Janes confirmed on October 13, 2026. The unnamed company is being launched by Mykhailo Fedorov, who says its interceptor destroyed two Geran-5 drones during combat tests over one month with the National Guard's Lasar's Group unit in Kyiv. Production is targeted at hundreds of interceptors per month by the end of 2026. The aircraft currently requires a human pilot, while AI-enabled autonomous detection and engagement remain development objectives rather than capabilities demonstrated in the disclosed tests.
