Patria Latvia Breaks Ground on Valmiera Plant for Hunter IFVs and 6x6 APCs

Patria laid the foundation stone for a new military-vehicle plant at Valmiera's Industrial and Export Park in Latvia on October 7, with completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2027. The facility will produce Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers and assemble and maintain GDELS Hunter infantry fighting vehicles for Latvia's armed forces. Valmiera's existing operation has built only 6×6 carriers under Latvia's contract for more than 200 vehicles, due by 2029. The expansion adds tracked-vehicle work and lifecycle support to the local production footprint, rather than constituting a separate new Latvian vehicle acquisition.
