Poland puts AI to work guarding its border with Belarus
Poland has deployed artificial intelligence-enabled surveillance systems along its border with Belarus, integrating AI-driven analysis with sensor networks to detect and track irregular crossings and hybrid threat activity. The system uses automated image and pattern recognition to reduce the burden on human operators and improve response times along a border that has experienced sustained hybrid pressure including organized migrant incursions attributed to Belarusian state actors. The deployment represents one of the more operationally mature examples of AI application in European border and territorial defense.
