Poland’s Abrams tank order nears the finish line

Poland is nearing completion of deliveries under its order for 250 M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tanks, with General Dynamics Land Systems expecting the program to finish by the end of 2026. The modern tanks add digital systems, improved protection and upgraded power and survivability features to Polish armored units. They complement 116 previously acquired M1A1 Abrams and substantially increase interoperability with US forces. Completion of vehicle deliveries will not alone close the program, which also depends on ammunition, recovery vehicles, bridges, training, maintenance infrastructure and unit integration.
