Quantum Systems enters maritime domain with Baltic-focused USV and UUV

German uncrewed-systems company Quantum Systems entered the maritime market with the Seavex unmanned surface vessel and Subvex unmanned underwater vehicle, unveiled in Portugal in September. Both platforms connect through the MOSAIC UXS software architecture, which can coordinate air, land, surface and undersea assets and combine their sensor data into a common operational picture. The concept targets persistent surveillance of Baltic infrastructure, coastlines and ports, with Subvex rated for operating depths up to 6,000 meters, but the new vehicles still require sea trials and operational validation.
