RENK plans to more than triple transmission output above 2,000 units by 2030, investing up to €325 million across Germany

RENK plans to raise annual transmission output at its Augsburg headquarters to more than 2,000 units by 2030, more than tripling current capacity. At Rheine, the company has inaugurated three machining centres and will invest over €20 million through 2030 to manufacture HSWL 256 transmission components for the Puma infantry fighting vehicle. Defence capacity at that site has grown by more than 30% annually since 2025 as automotive-style series-production methods are introduced. The work forms part of up to €325 million that RENK intends to invest in German digitalisation, innovation and capacity by 2028.
