Rheinmetall and Breaker demonstrate voice-controlled drone swarms for Australian Army Boxer combat vehicles
Rheinmetall and Breaker demonstrated voice control of autonomous drone swarms from an Australian Army Boxer combat reconnaissance vehicle and signed a teaming agreement for further integration. One crew member commanded the drones using the vehicle's standard microphone and headset after less than 30 minutes of training, while continuing normal vehicle duties. Breaker's tactical orchestration software connects robot teams through the Boxer's open electronic architecture, with simulator integration completed within weeks. The companies demonstrated a working vehicle capability within six months of initial discussions, but have not announced a fleet-wide procurement or operational fielding decision.
