Rheinmetall's U.S. business wins $20.7 million order to produce and upgrade MK93 weapon mounts for Army requirements at Maine plant

American Rheinmetall received a $20.7 million order to manufacture and upgrade MK93 enhanced softmount weapon mounting systems for U.S. Army requirements. The Biddeford, Maine, facility will produce 3,104 new MK93 systems and upgrade 245 previously delivered mounts to the current configuration. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2026 and continue through October 2027. The order supports crew-served weapon integration, configuration commonality, reliability and long-term sustainment.
