Rincell unveils high-power drone battery cell
Rincell introduced the RC50T, a tabless 21700 lithium-ion cell designed for drones and other high-power applications, ahead of its European debut at DroneX in London. The company rates the 5.2 Ah, 3.6 V cell for 100-amp continuous and 150-amp pulse discharge, with energy density above 265 watt-hours per kilogram. Rincell says the cell is NDAA-compliant, already in production, and shipping to customers. Those are manufacturer specifications; independent qualification data, cycle life under demanding flight loads, operational customer names, and actual production volumes were not disclosed.
