Romania signs first contract for Rafael Spyder ground-based air defence systems
Romania signed its first contract for Rafael's Spyder ground-based air defence systems. The deal strengthens NATO's eastern flank short-to-medium range air defence. Spyder uses Python-5 and Derby missiles against aircraft, helicopters, UAVs and cruise missiles. The procurement marks Israeli air defence entry into Romania.
