Royal Thai Army acquires new helicopters
The Royal Thai Army accepted four additional UH-60M Black Hawk utility helicopters during a September 18 ceremony at the 9th Aviation Battalion. The acquisition is linked to a U.S. foreign military sales production arrangement that included aircraft for several allied customers and expands Thailand’s long-established Black Hawk fleet. Separately, delivery activity for eight Boeing AH-6i Little Bird light attack and reconnaissance helicopters also appeared to be progressing. The two efforts strengthen lift and armed-scout capacity, although Thai and U.S. officials did not publish complete contract, delivery, or unit-assignment details.
