Russia Gets Su-34 Fighter-Bombers in Second 2026 Batch as Deliveries Slow
Russia's United Aircraft Corporation delivered another batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Aerospace Forces on October 7, marking the second publicly announced handover of the type in 2026. Parent company Rostec said the aircraft completed factory ground and flight tests before leaving for their operational units, but did not disclose the batch size. The Su-34 is Russia's principal carrier of bombs fitted with UMPK glide-and-guidance kits, allowing heavy weapons to be released from standoff distances. The announcement confirms another completed delivery while leaving the annual production total uncertain, making precise conclusions about fleet growth or replacement of combat losses unsupported.
