Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber crashes near Ukrainka air base used for missile strikes on Ukraine, killing six crew members

A Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber crashed near Ukrainka air base in the Amur region during a training flight, killing six of the seven crew members. Russia's defence ministry said the aircraft was flying without live munitions and sent an Aerospace Forces commission to investigate. Unconfirmed reports suggested that three of the bomber's four engines failed during takeoff, but investigators had not established the cause. Ukrainka is among the bases used by Russian long-range aviation for cruise-missile missions against Ukraine.
