Saronic Awarded Production Contract for Marauder Under U.S. Navy's MUSV Marketplace
Saronic received a firm-fixed-price agreement to build ten 180-foot Marauder medium uncrewed surface vessels for the U.S. Navy's new MUSV marketplace. The award averages about $40 million per ship and calls for deliveries before the end of fiscal 2027, with production centered in Louisiana. Saronic says Marauder completed eight days of continuous operations and more than 140 test scenarios without failure, but the Navy will still need to integrate payloads and determine how the design performs alongside competing vessels from HII and Edison Chouest. Its performance will influence any follow-on Navy fleet expansion.
