SK Group’s ELVO plans €40 million Greek defense expansion to create 300 jobs and build drone and military vehicle production capacity

SK Group-owned ELVO plans to invest €40 million in a phased expansion of its Sindos defence plant near Thessaloniki, creating about 300 jobs. The programme will modernise military-vehicle production lines and add research, development and manufacturing capacity for unmanned aircraft, counter-drone technologies and autonomous systems. Work and recruitment are already under way, with SK Group transferring technology and expertise to the Greek operation. ELVO intends to serve Greek military requirements and pursue exports, building on more than €20 million previously spent on restructuring, facility upgrades and production workflows after the acquisition.
