SRC Wins $500M Domestic Shield IDIQ and Order for 3 Counter-Drone Radars

SRC has received a three-year Domestic Shield contract with a $500 million ceiling from Joint Interagency Task Force 401 to supply counter-drone capabilities. The initial $10.24 million order covers one Gryphon R1440 radar, two R1540 radars, system integration, installation and operator training, rather than committing the full contract ceiling. Both are air-cooled, X-band three-dimensional electronically scanned radars; the R1440 uses four fixed panels for continuous hemispherical surveillance, while the R1540 provides greater reach and fire-control support. The systems will detect and track unmanned aircraft around military installations and other critical infrastructure.
