Türkiye’s AKINCI Drone Strikes Maritime Target at 250 km With New UAV-300 Supersonic Missile

Baykar’s AKINCI uncrewed combat aircraft struck a maritime target from more than 250 kilometres away using Roketsan’s new UAV-300 supersonic ballistic missile. The company reported a direct hit in the September test, demonstrating a long-range air-launched option against surface targets. Pairing the heavy UAV with a fast standoff weapon could let operators engage ships or fixed targets while remaining outside many local air-defence envelopes. The firing is a development milestone, not evidence of serial production or operational deployment, and independent performance data on guidance, warhead and resistance to countermeasures remain limited.
