Thales and 3ME Unveil BladeHAUL UGV, a Bushmaster-Inspired 10-Tonne Hauler
Thales Australia and 3ME Technology unveiled BladeHAUL on October 6, a hybrid-electric extra-large unmanned ground vehicle designed to carry a 20-foot container or up to 10 tonnes. Inspired by Bushmaster vehicle features, the off-road hauler combines 3ME's BladeVOLT energy storage, BladeDRIVE propulsion and BladeNET control architecture for remote or autonomous operation. Manufacturing responsibilities span Thales' Bendigo facility and 3ME's Newcastle operation, with the concept presented at Land Forces in Perth. The unveiling targets heavy logistics support, while output, operating range, a launch customer and any production order remain undisclosed.
