Turkish combat drone gets a longer-range strike weapon

Baykar fitted its AKINCI unmanned combat aircraft with Roketsan's new 300-ER air-launched ballistic missile, with a first launch from the drone expected after the reported integration. Unveiled at IDEF 2025, the five-metre weapon weighs about 900 kilograms, carries a warhead exceeding 150 kilograms and is advertised for ranges above 500 kilometres depending on release altitude. It combines inertial and satellite navigation with a television seeker for terminal guidance against radars, air defences, armoured vehicles and command posts. Neither company had confirmed a completed firing or regular-service date in the article, although initial tests and deliveries were targeted for 2026.
