U.S. Air Force breaks ground on new hangar for future B-21 Raider maintenance at Tinker

The US Air Force broke ground on the Bomber Agile Common Hangar at Tinker Air Force Base, creating depot infrastructure that will eventually support B-21 Raider maintenance. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex will initially use the facility for B-52 modernization, including the Commercial Engine Replacement Program and Radar Modernization Program. Those projects support continued B-52 operations through 2050, while the hangar’s adaptable design allows a later transition to B-21 sustainment. The construction expands the base’s bomber maintenance role, providing a shared infrastructure pathway from upgrades to the existing fleet toward support for the future stealth bomber.
