U.S. Air Force strategic bombers fly over Czech Republic, signaling U.S. deterrence and long-range strike readiness across Europe

Two U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers flew over the NATO Days and Czech Air Force Days event at Ostrava on 19 September 2026. The flyover formed part of a multinational event involving forces from 14 countries and displayed the bomber’s long-range strike role. U.S. Air Forces in Europe described the mission as a demonstration of deterrence, allied integration and the ability to project airpower across the theatre. The flight also allowed U.S. crews to operate alongside Czech personnel and apply common procedures.
