U.S. Army Black Hawk Production Deal Starts at 16 UH-60Ms, Could Add 100+
The U.S. Army placed an initial order for 16 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters through a new production agreement with Sikorsky, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028. The arrangement is designed to support follow-on purchases and could expand beyond 100 aircraft, including requirements for the Army National Guard and foreign customers. A Pentagon notice valued the initial undefinitized modification at about $234.5 million, meaning final pricing remained subject to negotiation. The agreement sustains the production line while giving the Army flexibility to add aircraft over several years.
