U.S. Army Deploys M-LIDS in India to Integrate Counter-UAS Defense With Long-Range Precision Fires

The U.S. Army deployed M-LIDS to India for the first time with the 3rd Multi-Domain Task Force during Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026, linking mobile counter-UAS protection with long-range fires training. A typical paired system uses two Oshkosh M-ATVs carrying KuRFS radar, electronic-warfare and surveillance equipment, FAAD C2, an XM914 30 mm cannon and Coyote Block 2 interceptors. The exercise is scheduled to culminate in a combined live-fire event integrating U.S. and Indian long-range and precision fires through digital command-and-control networks. The deployment is for bilateral training, not an announced transfer or Indian procurement, and the number of systems involved was not disclosed.
