U.S. Army orders more engines for Israel’s Eitan vehicle

The US Army added $39.1 million to a Rolls-Royce Solutions America contract for engines used in Israel’s Eitan 8×8 armoured personnel carrier, raising the award’s cumulative value to about $158.9 million. Work will be performed in Graniteville, South Carolina, and is scheduled for completion by September 11, 2027, using fiscal 2010 foreign military sales funds for Israel. The modification is the contract’s eleventh change and follows a separate $180 million engine sale approved in April 2025. The engine is identified as the 8V199TE21-D, but the Army did not disclose the quantity covered by the latest award.
