U.S. Army tests self-driving truck with drone-killing turret

The U.S. Army has conducted tests of an autonomous self-driving logistics truck integrated with a drone-killing counter-UAS turret. The system combines autonomous ground vehicle navigation with an organic air defence capability to protect resupply convoys in contested environments. The turret is designed to detect and engage small unmanned aircraft systems that threaten convoy routes. The test supports Army efforts to harden logistics operations against the pervasive drone threat observed in recent conflicts.
