U.S. clears potential $364 million sale of 5,031 APKWS II guidance units for Italian Eurofighters to counter airborne threats
The US State Department cleared a potential $364 million FMS of 5,031 APKWS II laser-guidance kits to Italy. The kits equip Eurofighter Typhoons for a low-cost air-to-air role against drones and cruise missiles. BAE Systems is the principal contractor.
